Which is why we have set up a Think Tank made up of outstanding individuals, serving to give us a much better understanding of what is going on in fields that include fashion, architecture and cuisine. People who help us to think differently when talking about brands, organisations and teams. People who are essential to a communication strategy, because they work with new content and narratives, and believe in creativity. And lastly, we also bring into our debate the sustainable perspective needed in any process of growth.
Manuel Blanco is an Architect, Director of the Higher Technical School of Architecture at Madrid Technical University, and Managing Director of the Higher Fashion Design Centre.
With an extensive international track record in the field of Architecture, Manuel Blanco has curated numerous exhibitions in New York, Rome, Tokyo, Chicago, Moscow and Athens, and was Commissioner of the Spanish Pavilion at the Venice Biennial, the leading global event.
Alongside his role as Director of the Higher School of Architecture, he also continues to teach as Professor of Architectural Composition. He is likewise a fashion expert, and currently directs the doctorate course "Architecture, Design, Fashion & Society".
One of the most recognised and respected chefs at the national level. After more than a decade as chef de cuisine at Club Allard, where he was awarded two Michelin stars, in 2014 he embarked on his own professional and personal project by opening Dstage, which immediately became a landmark restaurant in the capital, and now has two Michelin stars.
Nearly a year ago he opened his second gastronomic venue, Dspeaksy, where he presents his more "casual" cuisine. Diego Guerrero is considered to be one of the most prestigious chefs working today. His has been a long-haul, dedicated project, built on hard work and the talent that radiates from his cooking.
Oriol Balaguer revealed a real passion for pastry making from a very young age. Following his time at the Pastry Chef Trade School in Barcelona, he worked for the leading pastry makers in Spain, completing placements across Europe and spending 7 years on Ferran Adrià's team.
At the age of 21 he was voted Best Spanish Artisanal Pastry Chef, since when he has received such accolades as Best Dessert in Spain and Best Dessert in the World for his 8 Textures of Chocolate creation. In 2018 the French International Academy of Gastronomy honoured him with its Best Pastry Chef Award.
One of the leading exponents of the new Spanish design. At the age of 24 he set up his firm, Rabaneda. In 2014 he was the only Spanish representative in the International Woolmark Prize. Soon after he won the Best New Designer Award. He has worked for brands including Nike and Disney.
He teaches at the Higher Fashion Design Centre. This year, following the presentation of his latest collection at the MBFWM, Vogue USA highlighted his talent for design and couture.
Jaime Fernández de la Puente-Campano
Marketing Expert. A natural entrepreneur, he spent more than 12 years working at Media Agencies in Madrid, Barcelona and New York, devising strategies for BMW, Coca-Cola, Audi and Damm.
He is the CEO of GuudJOb, voted best app in Spain and chosen among the best 16 apps in the world at the Mobile World Congress. He now also works as a digital marketing consultant, and views marketing as the transformation towards digital and the integration of communication content.
María García Ruíz
Founder and CEO of Smart Culture, a member of Top Ten Management Spain, a community bringing together experts in training and consultancy to advise companies and institutions, she is also an Academic Director and Professor at the IE Business School. She likewise works with the Madrid Chamber of Commerce.
With more than two decades of experience in the field of Cultural Transformation, Leadership and Entrepreneurship, mention should also be made of her training on the Executive Programme in Silicon Valley. In her international career she has held positions at Inditex-Zara, Ernst & Young and other firms.
Journalist. He has since 2015 been Editor-in-Chief of the Video Department at EL PAÍS, where he is responsible for the creation of audiovisual content both for the newspaper's website and its social media platforms, as well as its own YouTube channel, the leader for information in Spanish, with over a million subscribers.
He was formerly a creator, director and scriptwriter on TV programmes for the broadcasters Cuatro, La Sexta and Cosmopolitan TV. He has also contributed to titles such as Vanity Fair and GQ.
He currently teaches Video at the Madrid Autonomous University-EL PAÍS School of Journalism.
A Publicist and Actor, he is currently Head of Disruption at the Dentsu Aegis Network in Spain.
Founder and president of the D6 Creative Agency, he has worked at Y & R, McCANN, Ogilvy, Wunderman and BBDO in Peru, Chile, Argentina and Spain. He has created campaigns for Balay, Ikea, Arkano and Cerveza 1906 with Joaquín Sabina, among other figures.
Seen as one of the leading lights in advertising and creativity, he has been a jury member at the leading festivals in the sector. His numerous accolades include various Cannes Lion and Golden Sun awards.
A journalist with lengthy experience, his interviews have been featured on the covers of such titles as Paris Match, Miami Herald, Dominical and El Semanal. Oner ten years ago he founded the sustainable thinking publication “Anoche Tuve un Sueño” with an independent, cooperative and socially committed philosophy..
He has for the last 6 years been the director of the "Optimistas Comprometidos" Awards, recognising international figures for their work to promote social change.
Julia Higueras is convinced that organisations must progress with a purpose and need to be prepared to advance through an attitude based on optimism and collaboration.
Communication expert Ana Vázquez has a lengthy track record in the media and consultancy fields. She worked with the broadcaster Cadena SER for 8 years, and was Head of Press at RNE for 6 years.
Following her time in the media, always working in the Communication field, she launched Balboa, now embarking on a new stage as an Agency specialising in Lifestyle and Retail Communication. Ana Vázquez has worked on communication and campaigns for Diageo, Lindt, Toys “R” Us, L'Oreal, Ecovidrio and the Atlético de Madrid Foundation, among others.
As Managing Director of Balboa she takes on the challenge of providing a response to the changing needs and demands of communication, and a commitment to connect brands with users.
